Dresden Transport

The public transport in Dresden is well developed. Services are provided by DVB (Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe) and by Deutsche Bahn. Dresden airport is connected to the city by a rail link and by bus and tram services.

Comprehensive information in four languages (German, English, Czech and Polish) is available via the homepage of DVB: www.dvb.de. This includes a trip planner with an interactive map to locate tram and bus stops anywhere in the city. The is also a mobile version m.dvb.de, but this is available in German only. However, the classical web site runs nicely on smartphones, too.
